- Project Overview -
SMI’s website had a dated, traditional layout. I transformed it into a modern, user-friendly site with a clean, approachable design and enhanced usability, making it fully responsive across devices.
Technical Challenges
- Outdated WordPress Theme: The existing WordPress theme was functional but outdated, making it difficult to customize and limiting support for modern web standards. I replaced the old theme with a modern, lightweight one, rebuilt the layout using semantic HTML5 and modular CSS, and optimized it for easier maintenance and scalability.
- Responsive Conversion: The original fixed-width design didn’t adapt to different screen sizes, causing usability issues on mobile. I implemented a flexible grid system with CSS media queries, ensuring the site works seamlessly across desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
